How Omaha Poker Is Played
By: Dan The Poker Man
In online poker, there is no doubt that the Texas hold-em poker is still considered the most popular. But it probably would not hold that spot for long, as Omaha hold-em is steadily gaining ground in the poker popularity contest. You’ll find many respectable poker rooms and other live dealer casinos offering the Omaha Poker version.
Omaha hold-em, or simply Omaha, is the game of choice of a lot of poker players because it is perceived that the mathematical probabilities that poker nerds look forward to computing are more obvious there. Also, because these probabilities are more apparent, Omaha is said to be more of a game of wits than a game of chance.
Another characteristic that makes Omaha distinct from the other kinds of poker games is that in Omaha, it is not always the player with the highest hand who wins the pot. The object of Omaha is to come up with both the highest and the lowest hand. The two players who got the highest and the lowest hand respectively get to split the pot. In some cases, two or more players tie in having the highest and lowest hand, and so they split the pot amongst themselves. Of course it is entirely possible for just the player with the highest hand to get the whole pot to him/herself.
There are, however, restrictions as to how a hand of cards can be considered a low hand. First, the highest card in the hand should have a value not bigger than eight. Second, the five cards making up the hand should all be unpaired.
In addition, in Omaha, a player makes up his/her hand, be it the highest or the lowest, using exactly two of his/her four hole cards and exactly three of the five community cards.Tagged as: how to play Omaha Poker -
Killer Skunk
Today I voted on this month’s “Cream of the Crop” contest on UK420.com and found myself stumped to pick a winner, since every bud photo entered was extraordinary. So much so, that I had to write the entrants down on a piece of paper and make notes. Today’s modern cannabis strains are truly exotic and include such hybrids as; Killer Skunk (pictured), Orange County Floss, Opiumxberry, Northern Lights, Cheese, Pahari Farmhouse, Purple Wreck and one of my favorites, Toothless Grin.
Orange County Floss from Bigga Buddah was destined to win this months “Cream of the Crop” contest, having already received 41% of the votes but honestly it was hard to tell which was best.
Looking into the background of Killer Skunk, which was entered by two growers I discovered an organically produced cannabis seed company called “Underground Originals“, here’s their review of this cannabis strain:Type: Sativa/Indica Hybrid.
Parentage: Blues x SmellyBerry.
Harvest Indoors: 7 – 9 weeks after starting 12/12 light-cycle.
Harvest Outdoors: End of September – beginning/mid October.
Cerebral Hit: Joyful, an uplifting mood enhancer; also gives good audio visual enhancements. “Killer Skunk” is sociable too, good for parties or more intimate occasions. Yet, for those who prefer it, the hit can be spiritual and illuminating, inviting meditation and contemplation.
Physical Hit: A feeling of bodily lightness, leaving the user comfortable with muscular relaxation and ease predominates.
Medicinal Value: “Killer Skunk” may well prove to be a possible medicinal keeper for someone with pain/spasm problems, or spasticity. The strong yet comfortable cerebral impact may help anyone with depressive illness. The mood is lifted considerably, yet without any accompanying paranoia or racey “edge”.
Smell: Dense, strong and sweet. Hashy, with some pine and lemon hints but essentially the smell is of highest grade Cannabis. Very aromatic, Carbon filters essential!
Taste: Sublime, more-ish. Sweet, hashy and delicious!
Yield Indoors: Depending on grow skills and environment, a big yield is hard to avoid. A gram per watt of light is not so hard with Killer Skunk.
Yield outdoors: Dependant on climate and seasonal variations; but expect higher than average yields. This is the perfect time of year to start a crop of Killer Skunk from UGORG.

Oregon Weed Grower Busted
After posting Oregon Weed Grower earlier this week I came across an article published on Oregon Live, local news, entitled Traffic stop leads police to indoor marijuana grow operation about an unlucky guy who was pulled over for a traffic violation and the cops found almost a pound of pot in his car, which led to the search of his house, where they seized his grow-operation. Well the unlucky guy was Brian Waldrip and he left the following comment, which I decided to publish as a way to try and help him out. Maybe someone will read this and have some suggestions for Brian to help him solve his dilemma.Hey Buddy! Yes, Oregon growers are very talented. I am the man charged with possession, manfucature and distibution of marijuana in Oregon that you commented on April 29th or 30th.
Those plants were some of the best the DEA agent that helped raid my home had ever seen, according to him directly. Funny thing is, I’ve only been growing for a short time! Organic methods rock!
Do you have any great legal contacts? One who needs a pro bono case?
These guys took every dime I have. Also, I found this comment from Brian on the OregonLive.com article:
Well, what I was thinking is that I AM a registered, valid patient with the right to carry, consume and cultivate marijuana in the state of California. I still cannot believe that the state of Oregon doesn’t not acknowledge the validity of a licensed, Medical Doctor. Interestingly, you can drive on Oregon streets with an out of state license, you can have proof of insurance from another state, and you can even possess hardcore, narcotic prescription medicine from another state. You can even have an out of state doctor call in your script for vicodin and not be a “criminal”. Why, is a medicine I can grow myself, not allowed to be possessed in the state of Oregon if another state of the union honors my right to self medicate?
Someone please help me a make a stink about this!!! I moved to Oregon because of the beauty and good people. I am in process of getting my Oregon medical marijuana license, and am NOT a criminal. I am a God loving, earth loving, people loving person. Anyone who has any help or suggestion please email me @ brian_waldrip@yahoo.com
Especially an attorney who needs a pro bono case, as these bullies have taken every dime I have. $3,960 was all the money I had set aside for 2 months. Please pass this along to anyone you think might be able to help out Brian.
