Jay-Z has 99 problems … playing Carnegie Hall ain’t one
Filed under UncategorizedFeb 7As an example of just how far Jay has progressed from his meager beginnings in Brooklyn’s Marcy projects — ‘Da Jigga dropped two performances for two of his favorite charities at Carnegie Hall in New York City on Monday night February 6. During the cannabis seed smoke-filled concert Jay performed “glory” a song dedicated to his daughter Blue-Ivy Carter.
The jewel encrusted crowd at the Stern artist auditorium at Carnegie Hall for the first of two charity events, Jay-Z’s — Jay Shawn Carter scholarship foundation along with United Way of New York City help were in for a treat. The event was to generate cash for gifted high school students who were not in the financial position to attend such a prestigious college. In spite of the swanky, uptight, stuffy, aristocratic surroundings J sprayed and stomped the crowd like an AK47 with some of his more marijuana rich material.
I’m not sure if Carnegie Hall has ever had to endure more marijuana bud consumption than it did that wonderful smoked filled night. As usual Jay’s songs were rich in the marijuana cannabis subculture references.
