Medical Marijuana Police Division Wastes Money On Blinged Out Cars
Filed under PoliceAug 6
Another story of police corruption involving the 420 friendly marijuana community…nothing new. It seems as though Colorado officials tried to pull the wool over the public eyes. The greatest devised plans of Colorado’s Medical Marijuana Administration Department have back-fired, resulting in what one lawmaker is labeling gross federal government waste. The State agency wound up with more automobiles than employees. There were several items that they didn’t take into consideration within their planning, so now their corruption will result in costing the people. The Medical Cannabis Administration Department was counting on gathering massive fees from medical marijuana dispensaries. Now they are amassing complaints.
Last year the medical marijuana administration personnel signed an 8 year lease for 2 dozen completely new automobiles, mainly 4×4 huge black SUVs which have a price-tag of $30,000 each. Much needed to run over the somber medical marijuana use that enjoys their hydroponic, indoor grown meds.Requisition forms say the SUVs had been essential so administration agents may go off-roading. The lease for the supped-up SUVs costs virtually $750,000. However in a matter of a few months after finalizing the lease, the bureau discovered fees weren’t rolling in and it wasn’t likely to cultivate.
Loaded up with more Sports utility vehicles than personnel, the Medical Marijuana Administration Department has today has re-allocated 16 of the enormous SUVs to various other state agencies which may not truly require them, yet have them anyway.
A few went to Auto Industry Enforcement, two others to gaming, 1 to the agency which oversees greyhound and horse racing, 5 others towards the Department of Personnel, 5 to the Colorado State Patrol – divisions which may not require full-size, 17 mile a gallon supped-up SUVs, and may have done with more affordable, fuel-efficient vehicles.State Senator Kevin Lundberg said, “I want to see systems that take the least expensive route possible, and what I see here is I believe the opposite.” Lundberg calls this government excess and a waste of public money. “It looks like a bureaucracy that had too many dollars to spend, and guess what they did? They spent it.”
Seems as though the cops should regulate their offices instead of attacking pot dispensaries. Wasting time and tax-payer dollar. Roll up your sleeves and take a real look….
