• Walnut Creek Schoolteacher So Underpaid – He Sells Marijuana

  Police busted a Walnut Creek man on suspicion of pot sales Wednesday after finding a 1lb of pot and $4,200 in his ride at the school where he taught, police stated.

   

  Around 8:45 a.m., a Hercules Middle/High School employee reported that a gray Honda with no license plate was left running and unattended in the parking lot, Hercules Police spokeswoman Connie Van Putten said. Officers responded to the school and ran the vehicle identification number to determine the vehicle’s registered owner.

  Cop ranscaked the glove compartment in search of identifying documents and instead found two plastic sandwich bags, one filled with marijuana and the other filled with four rolls of cash, Van Putten said. Police then searched the vehicle further, finding a large, plastic bag filled with marijuana in the trunk.

  The owner of the car was identified as Allen Goodman, 66, of Walnut Creek, a teacher at the middle school, Van Putten said. Goodman was called to the main office and arrested for possession of marijuana for sale, possession of more than an ounce of marijuana and an adult possessing marijuana on school grounds while the school was in session.

  Officers later obtained a search warrant of Goodman’s home and found evidence of sales and marijuana cultivation, along with a large amount of cash.
