The Rhode Island legislator who had been arrested in East Haven on Drunk driving and drug charges continues his winning ways and was arrested again on marijuana and booze charges, based on an Connected Press report.
Repetition is not good form — Robert A. Watson, the previous Republican House Minority for the Rhode Island legislature, apparently was billed with having less than an Ounce of marijuana following a snow plow operator reported he was driving occasionally on the flat tire early Sunday morning.
Officials reported they found marijuana seeds within the East Greenwich, RI resident’s vehicle along with a smoking pipe.
Watson was arrested and charged with the exact same offences last April 22 on Foxon Road as he was stopped by an East Haven Police Department Drunk driving checkpoint and was found to be stoned and in possession of some freshly grown marijuana bud.
Police stated he was unsuccessful at passing the sobriety test, and that his breath smelled like alcohol and the clothes smelled like freshly harvested marijuana seed. Searching by police found Watson were built with a small weight of just harvested marijuana along with a smoking pipe in the pocket.
A breath analyzer test, however, found he’d a bloodstream alcohol degree of .05 percent, that is underneath the legal limit of .08 percent.
He was billed with Drunk driving, having marijuana and having drug paraphernalia.
In October, Watson plead not liable towards the East Haven charges in New Haven Superior Court.
