Selecting the best marijuana seeds strains for your particular medical marijuana grow environment based on its geographical location while not difficult, is very important. In a Sativa vs. Indica world, to utilize feminized seeds versus not… and whether or not to deploy the new auto-flower marijuana seeds are just some of the basic decisions that need to be made when looking at all the different marijuana Seed strains you can use. (Not to mention the tough choice between: Northern Lights Seed Strains, Blueberry Marijuana Seeds, Kush Marijuana Seeds… Or what will make the best bubble Hash afterwards.)

So Where to start the Marijuana Seeds Germination Process?

In the past I’ve had great success with my marijuana seed strain selections from the Amsterdam seeds banks that I have used and are currently available on the internet. Most of the marijuana seeds that I have purchased from the seedbanks have been of the Indica variety, as most Amsterdam seeds that I have purchased are of a Indica nature they tend to be a shorter plant by nature and tend to be bushier thus making the marijuana plant a higher yield, yet shorter in stature, the trichomes on this plant when allowed to grow to full maturity are crystallized and sugary.

When properly germinated the Amsterdam Indica marijuana seeds comes to life from its dormant state. Water Ph and temperature are most critical at this point, for as soon as the cannabis seed has begun to breach its Seed husk a sufficient quantity of H2O is critical as the marijuana seedling begins to form its vital and nutrient hungry root system. The next part of this process requires a trace amount of nutrients as it breaks through its shell and begins the process of building what will be its taproot. There are as many ways to germinate as there are to grow marijuana. One of the most important steps in the germinating process is presoaking your marijuana seeds.

I have found that one of the more successful steps to the germinating process is to deploy wet paper towels on a level flat white plate. Placing the marijuana seeds on top of the moistened paper towels then putting another moistened layer of paper towels on top of the seeds, placing another plate of similar size on top of the plate, for which everything now sits — thus creating a cover.

The cover at this point is critical as the darkness and controlled environment helps to create a consistent moisture rich environment between the two plates therefore stimulating faster germination. Once you have your germination plates arranged in a way that we have described it is critical now to find just the right environment we are looking for a dark warm place somewhere right around 80°.

On a daily basis your tasks should include a sprinkle of water on the paper towels making sure that the pH balanced water thoroughly saturates the paper towels every day. One must do this until the tip of the taproot becomes visible to the naked eye. Then we take the now germinated marijuana seed making sure to put the tap root down into the growth medium regardless of the medium… Rockwool, soil, or Clay rock.  One needs to make sure that the geminated marijuana seeds are at a depth of about your first knuckle on your thumb.

Now — it’s a matter of being patient… and kicking back to watch nature run its course.

How many have heard of the SOG method of growing marijuana? S.O.G. or Sea Of Green may be one of the fasted growing theories of cropping plenty of small plants, matured early to obtain the quickest turn around on your flower cycle.

Rather than growing a couple of pot plants for any extended period of time, within the same space one can cultivate many more compact vegetation cycles and is grown seed to flower at a much more rapid pace. Thus, a shorter veg cycle is needed between your harvest periods… be it AK 47 or Super Lemon Skunk. This will be significant for you once you see the utility bill and feel the pain that comes every month.

One crop could be beginning cycle while your other AK47 / Super Lemon Skunk finishing up maturing the *trichomes  ageing, along with a continuous super dank harvest…. This could easily be done on a year round basis and could be maintained in a state legal way with just 4 plants per sq . ft …. this is a nice beginning for new cannabis  plants of any genetic nature. 1 marijuana plant per sq . ft . will allow enough room for every seed to grow into a nice young plant, the later with more space to develop a sizable top AK47 / Super Lemon Skunk cola, …. Whatever you do please do permit very many bottom branches. Cut these puppies they will be its OK … think about it since inside, these bottom branches will always be shaded anyway, and won’t grow to produce any meaningful flower unless of course given additional light and space.

The plants, if began simultaneously, should create what’s known as a -canopy of green-… or “Sea of Green” this SOG  traps the majority of the light at the very top degree of the plants. Little light will penetrate below this level, because the vegetation is so close together. The 420 garden enthusiasts are trying to target on top of the marijuana plant, and employ the sunshine and space towards the best advantage, in very little time as you possibly can. Utilization of nylon material chicken fence or similar trellising organized within the SOG canopy will offer much need stability as the plants will be heavy with flowering marijuana colas sagging underneath the weight of heavy fruiting tops. While stakes may be used too, but aren’t as simple to set up for plants in the center and back from the room, where achieve is much more difficult.

You can easily want large plants, given that they will produce more yield per plant, but it’s usually better with only a little space to develop more compact cannabis seed strains that mature faster and pack into more compact spaces. The SOG method of growing marijuana was created in Holland. Rather than fitting 4 large plants for the reason that small room, fit 12 small ones on the shelf above 12 other small plants. These plants take only 3-4 several weeks to mature from germination to ripe buds, and cropping happens constantly, since there’s both a vegetative and flowering area dedicated to each, with harvests every month and a half to two months.

It’s not how big the marijuana plant is, but rather how mature and amber the *Trichomes  of the flower thus it is the *Trichomes that counts. I would suggest that one become proficient at picking out early flowering marijuana seed strains, and propagate only those individuals which are of the greatest quality.

6″ square containers will permit 4 plants per sq . ft .. You may even gauge by how big your growing tray (for passive hydroponics) I love cat kitty litter boxes. ($3 each at Target) Grown 4 per sq . ft ., (for vegetative new plants) a 12 sq. foot. closet holds 48 new plants on a single shelf. During my situation, I personally use 4″ rockwool cubes that suit into cat litter pans @ 12 cubes per pan. I’m able to get 5 pans onto a 12 sq. foot. closet upper shelf, to ensure that is 60 new plants on a single small shelf!

For flowering inside, 1 plant per sq. foot. is a great guideline for SOG. If less vegetation is grown within this size space, it will require them longer to fill the area, thus more electricity and time will be employed to produce the equivalent product. If several plant p.s.f. is attempted, the grower will quickly discover that plants thus crowded tend to be stem than bud, and also the total harvest might be reduced, so be careful.

It’s good to prevent “topping” your plants if you would like these to grow as quickly as possible. It is best simply to grow 2 or 4 occasions more plants, given that they will produce more, faster, within the same space. Also, “training” plants with twist-ties is a terrific way to encourage them to rose bush out a little. Simply take any kind of plastic or paper twist tie and wrap it around the top plant, then pull it over before the top is bent over 90-180 levels after which attach this towards the primary stem lower around the plant. Do that for just one week after which release the guarana plant from this is bond. The guarana plant could be trained in this way to consider less vertical space and also to grow bushier, to fill the grow space and pressure lower braches to develop upward and join the eco-friendly canopy. This method takes advantage to the fact that when the top is stopped, it produces a hormonal symptom in the guarana plant that causes it to be rose bush out whatsoever lower internodes.

SOG grows to reap the primary cola (top) from the plant. Bottom branches are trimmed to improve ventilation underneath the “blanket” of accelerating tops. Begin using these clippings for clones, because they are the simplest area of the plant to root. It’s also the quickest area of the plant to regenerate after flowering has happened.

    * “Trichomes are small appendages that look like hairs, they are produced by marijuana and other plants. Some trichomes on marijuana plants develop a resin gland at the top. These trichomes are a rich source of THC, and monitoring them will allow you to best judge when the plants are ready for harvesting.”

While not a “SOG” grow… it sure is nice to watch!
